FEBRUARY 11, 2010: Economic Trends and the Impact on Marketing Current economic conditions have had a profound impact on individuals and organizations alike. If you would like to learn more about the economic outlook and trends that will affect marketing as a discipline, the February AMA luncheon will be of interest to you.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Mike Knetter joined the School of Business as its dean in 2002. He has orchestrated the novel $85 million Wisconsin Naming Gift, expanded Grainger Hall, restructured the full-time MBA program and expanded the Enterprise MBA. Before joining the University of WI-Madison, he served as an associate dean and professor of international economics in the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Knetter is widely published and served as senior staff economist for the President’s Council of Economic Advisors for former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. He is also a research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research and serves as a board member or trustee for a number of organizations. In addition, he is the current chair of a capital campaign in Dane County designed to assist homeless families as they work to secure housing and employment.
